Rodriguez Valverde Mar

Born in Almeria, Spain, Mar holds a BA in Performance and Choreography from the CSDMA, Madrid. In 2010, she received the Madrid Choreographic Contest outstanding performer award. She worked for Ballet de Teatres (Valencia, Spain) performing works by Goyo Montero, Ramón Oller, Nacho Duato. She has also worked amongst others with Avâtara Ayuso, Dani Pannullo Dance Theatre Co. and more recently with the Swiss company DA MOTUS! She is deeply interested in collaborative choreographic processes. fETCH, the duet created together with Begoña Quiñones received the Jury Prize at 18MASDANZA and it has been performed internationally. Currently she is studying the MA CoDE program (Contemporary Dance Education Master at HfDMK in Frankfurt, Germany) holding a scholarship from Studienstiftung des Deutchen Volkes.

First collaboration with DA MOTUS ! for the site specific project "À la chocolaterie" in 2016.
